in stockholm
one thing i know, it would be so hard to adapt to a life in a city with kids.....without, i can live anywhere, and do like cities. but kids are climbing on wall. i hope they will appreciate their freedom to run out and play anywhere they want when we get back!
stockholm sure is a beautiful city! and in summer its fantastic! lots of pretty green parks, heading to one right now, its the thing to do with the kiddies.
i have seen a lot of friends already! and family! had lunch with lisa, coffee with smiljana, fika with linnea and esther, dinner with linda, mattias, and little ruben, my brother magnus and wife bea and the kids cousin frank! and gisela and thomas, and giselas twin sister sanna and husband ilja! so nice to see everyone again!
ok more details later, now off to park! and then meeting in a few hours, and then bbq in another park with the whole family! will be fun!

Sweden Trip Recap the past week......
ok, lets see....
we packed up, i mean i packed, 3 bags to check in. i knew that all that wine was heavy. but i was trusting goodness and kindness in the person who was going to check me in...ha!
we had to get up at 4, get kids in the car, they were already dressed so they could keep sleeping. it went ok, of course the fight about the only pillow....
crossing bay bridge bianca says " OH! we are almost in sweden now right?!"
.... arrived at airport a bit after 6, plane leave at 7:47. sean wanted to just drop us curbside, but thank goodness he needed to use the bathroom, so he decided to come along. we needed that, because of course our bags weighed too much....there was quite a lot of people, and their self check in system is...um, not really smooth. we got a little mousy but stern little lady. she got yelled at by another family that needed to repack right infront of us. so many stupid people...so i was extra nice to her. not her fault idiots try to pack too much!! so we had to drag bags behind the phone booth and pull out ..7 bottles of wine and 5 oliveoil. oops. maybe too many huh..... then when we weighed in RIGHT at the allowed 50 lb, i said something about the wine, and the lady says ' im going to pretend i didnt hear that, you cant bring wine like that' ....great!!! i guess you need a styrofoam box in the middle of luggage or someting...OH WELL. got onboard pretty much last, had to switch seats with a somewhat unwilling little lady, so bianca didnt have to sit the row behind me inbetween a very hairy hippie man and a large lady....
flight to washington went well, despite no tv monitor infront of each seat, august was very bummed about that....
got on the next plane, only 1 1/2 in between flights, very nice. now there was a screen right in front, even cup holders, and a bottle of water for each person! SAS is very nice to fly with! august watched all he was allowed to quite rapidly. than he muttered, " so BORING, why do they even MAKE planes like this"...what??
landed about 7 in copenhagen, denmark. got the bags pretty much right away. they felt so light. i was certain someone had stolen wine. but no.....still bummed, really wanted to give friends and family some wine!!!
our dear friends jeanette and carl-fredrik met us at the airport, and we drove over the beautiful bridge from denmark to sweden. SO nice to be home in the summer!!! it's been a while, like 13 years!!
it's beautiful and green and clean. all the beautiful farm houses here in the south are so pretty. there are wide open spaces even in cities it feels like. america feels crowded compared. the weather wasnt super, but i didnt care! beautiful!! since it was evening, or night for us, we were a bit woozy....i got some champagne at my friends house, they are so sweet these jieboldts!
the jetlag was crazy this time...and we stayed up late to talk, so im not sure if we are on the right track even now, a week later!! and kids dont get why they need to sleep when its LIGHT outside!! welll, this is sweden in summer, hardly gets dark!
jetlag by the pool with friends is not suuuper difficult...i wasnt complaining! kids had so much fun in the pool too, playing with adele and 'cindy' (sidney, but august just cant get it right!!)
this is where i used to live, i have known these kids since they were born...(dang im old)
its my old hall too, so it was so nice to see everyone after ...15 years! many many hugs :)
( i need to write more often i forget!! -due to my age....;)
was well taken care of by my 'family' in the south, thank you so much!! i'll be back hehehe...
on monday evening we jumped on a train up to stockholm, little under 6 hour, we took the cheapskate train, it goes slower...next time i'll opt for the faster, about 4.5 hours instead!! wow. swedes are so quiet. and wow my kids are so loud!! talking laughing is fine, fighting and name calling not so much...and using lots of other words " he said vagina!!".....say no more.....
my brother thomas and wife gisela met up at the central station in stockholm, so good to see them!!! bianca finally got her basket ball baby (stuffed animal) that she forgot 2 years ago, and was her sole reason for going to sweden.....the joy was great!
ok, gonna head out, to see linnea for a fika ( fantastic word for having a coffe/tea/ together )

Moving
It's a good thing to purge. Clean out. Get rid of. Im better this time... I will not move in to the new house with vitamins from 1996.... Promise! Or the lotion sample from the mall about 6 years ago that I never tried. No I will NEVER know if my wrinkles actually would have been reduced.. Bummer. Im not a pack rat, but im not, shall we say... Streamlined when it comes to getting rid of stuff one really doesn't need!
Going to hit it harder. Pack pack n pack! Then, in a week, im outa hee!!
